Axel Beam
Artopex’s agile beam that connects directly to the Axel panel system — one continuous, finish-matched kit from full-height panels to open beam runs.
Overview
Axel Beam is the agile extension of the Axel panel system — it connects to Axel panels, so a floor can flow from full-height workstations into reconfigurable beam runs as one system. Here’s how it works, and where it fits.
Axel Beam is Artopex’s agile beam, and it’s part of the Axel family — it connects directly to the Axel panel system, so a run can transition from full-height panel workstations into open, reconfigurable beam desking without a break. A central spine routes power and data while worksurfaces and screens reconfigure freely, and because it shares Axel’s kit of parts and finishes, panel and beam read as one continuous system across the floor.

Axel is one of our flagship panel systems, and Axel Beam is what makes it complete: the beam connects right to the panels, so you can plan a floor that moves from enclosed panel workstations into agile beam runs in one coordinated, finish-matched system. That physical connection — not just a finish match — is what sets it apart from most beams.
So here’s when we’d specify Axel Beam — and when we’d point you elsewhere.
Specify it when
- You’re on Axel and want agile beam runs in the same system and finish family.
- A floor should flow from full-height workstations into reconfigurable beam runs as one system.
- You want power and data on the spine, reconfiguring freely.
- You value a manufacturer that shares our standards and backs us up when a project needs it.
Consider something else when
- You want a standalone agile beam without the Axel tie-in — a dedicated beam may be simpler.
- Teams need real enclosure everywhere — a panel system fits better.
- You want maximum open density — benching goes further.
- You want a warmer, residential feel — a desking system gets there more easily.
