Our services
Flexible engagement. Accountable execution.
Roles flex by project — from leading the interiors to supporting your design team or GC. Accountability doesn't.
How we engage
Roles flex. Accountability doesn't.
Our services aren't bundled or predefined. They're applied where they add value — based on project structure, internal resources, and the role you need us to play. We may serve as the primary interiors partner, support an interior designer or architect, work under a general contractor — or, where the scope calls for it, deliver the build itself.
Talk to a design conciergeWhen we lead the project
Our process, start to finish.
From early discovery through installation — and back around as you grow. We lead planning, coordination, and execution.
Stage 1, in practice
“What do people need to do their jobs?”
Every project opens with that question, and it is not rhetorical. What size a workstation really needs to be, what storage is actually used, who needs to sit near whom, whether one setup serves every task — those answers decide the plan long before anything is specified. None of them are furniture questions. They are the questions that decide what the furniture is for.
When the scope goes further
We can build it, too.
Furniture is where most of our projects start. It is not always where they end. When a client needs the space itself built or rebuilt, we carry that scope as well — and when there is an architect or designer on the project, that does not change who leads the design.
New buildings, delivered
We have built complete buildings from the ground up, coordinating trades, schedule, and inspection alongside the interiors.
- Site and shell coordination
- Trades scheduled and managed
- Inspections and closeout
- Interiors specified as part of the same scope
Existing space, rebuilt
Dated or unsuitable buildings taken back to the structure and rebuilt — demolition through finishes, with the interior designed as part of the construction rather than after it.
- Demolition and structural coordination
- Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
- Flooring, painting, millwork, tile
- Interiors integrated, not retrofitted
This does not displace design leadership. Where an architect or designer is running the project, our role is the one described below — and it stays that way.
Beyond installation
Continuity that carries forward.
We keep the drawings, specifications, and manufacturer-level understanding of what was installed — so future change stays consistent and buildable.
Ongoing support
Across the facility lifecycle — moves, refreshes, and the small fixes that add up. We stay a consistent point of contact.
What this includes
- Warranty coordination and resolution
- Reconfigurations and internal moves
- Modular relocation and reuse
- Redesigns and targeted refreshes
Growth & change
When organizations scale or reorganize, the space keeps up — without resetting standards or defaulting to replacement.
What this includes
- Expansions build on existing systems
- Reconfigurations with fewer surprises
- Relocations informed by what worked
- Decisions improve over time
Hybrid & home
We support in-office, hybrid, and home-based roles with clear standards — so distributed purchasing stays consistent.
What this includes
- Home office programs and standards
- Stipend or allowance support
- Distributed purchasing at any scale
- Office-to-home alignment
When we are not leading
Two supporting roles.
Reinforcing design leadership
We translate a designer or architect's intent into specific, high-performing solutions.
- Products that support aesthetic and function
- Intent into buildable, durable specs
- Requirements, warranties, and lead times validated
- Procurement, logistics, and installation managed
Interior systems, cleanly integrated
Our focus is interior systems that interface with the building — modular walls, cabinetry, flooring.
- Constructability input early
- Modular systems coordinated with structure
- Power, data, and architectural alignment
- Installation oversight and resolution
Our standards
However we engage — leading the project, supporting a designer, or working under a GC — our standards stay consistent. Clients are never placed in the position of resolving technical questions on site. We take our own field measurements and reconcile the drawings before anything is ordered — documentation and existing conditions rarely match exactly, and the responsibility for the furniture fitting is ours, so we would rather find a discrepancy with a tape measure than on install day. We prioritize systems proven in real-world use, evaluate decisions through durability and adaptability, and stay involved as organizations evolve.
Why choose us
Why choose Applied Ergonomics?
