Architects, facility leaders, and individual clients — on what it’s like to work with Applied Ergonomics. Each quote carries the client’s logo.
Applied Ergonomics was able to take our vision to the next level by providing expert insight of design, furniture, and materials. They remained sensitive and consistent to varying schedules and economic factors in order to execute a thoughtful solution to our design needs. Our only complaint is that we have to wait until the next project to work with them again.

Applied Ergonomics provided interior design finish selections and materials, as well as furniture and art, for our clients’ headquarters project, and did a great job. They respected and enhanced the building that we had designed — a challenging endeavor involving an existing two-story racquetball club, entirely gutted, with a second floor added and redesigned for office headquarters use. Jeff Meltzer was involved throughout and helped make the project a success even through the challenges of the Covid pandemic. In the end the client was very pleased. We look forward to working again with Jeff and his team.

Jane, Jeff, and the entire Applied Ergonomics team, alongside our partners at Garnett Architects, were a pleasure to work with in setting up our executive office. We envisioned a space that was clean, connected, and functional and the team delivered with flexible and thoughtful solutions. I would welcome the opportunity to work with them again on future projects.

We interviewed multiple firms to redesign and refurnish portions of our Engineering and Sales office areas, and I knew that we wanted to work with Applied Ergonomics. The caliber of their work, and their presentations that allowed us to envision the outcomes, were superior. They listened, asked the right questions, and interpreted our changing vision, making multiple revisions. They designed around each department’s needs to create ergonomic workstations — and handled not just design and furniture but also served as GC, providing all of the flooring, painting, tile, electrical and plumbing: a complete design-build team. The new spaces are beautiful, reflect our brand, and are appreciated by our employees. I couldn’t be happier with Jeff Meltzer and his team.

When we planned our 180,000 square foot headquarters and prototype production facility in Phoenix, we did not include the furniture plan in the architect’s scope. I wanted a firm expert in ergonomics and general office furniture, and found that in Applied Ergonomics. Being dedicated to reducing climate change, we also appreciated their focus on sustainability. They worked with us on spec for a year through multiple iterations and last-minute changes, and did all of the interior design and product selection. Their work, customer service, and product quality have been top-notch. We grew from 200 employees to over 1,100. For one small expansion we tried a highly rated local dealer, but went back to Applied Ergonomics — everything they did was simply better. I can’t say enough good things.

I just wanted to thank all of you for your excellent work at our Belcamp facility. As a purchaser it is imperative that we receive quality and timely products at the best price possible. Ordering post-pandemic has created delays, back orders, and increased prices — yet Applied Ergonomics completed our install at the agreed-upon price and in a timely fashion. They listened to our needs, redrafted several times to meet our requirements, and supplied suitable solutions for our new building. We are so very pleased with the outcome.

Applied Ergonomics has been my go-to furniture supplier for the better part of 20 years, but they are more than that. Jeff and his staff work with me during an entire project — planning, layouts, designs, placing and tracking orders, and post follow-ups. No stone is left unturned. When I take on a new office project, regardless of market or where in the country, I turn over the blank floor plan and Jeff helps design the space from the ground up. Their resources seem endless. I have worked with them on everything from small branch offices to a multi-floor corporate headquarters. The attention to detail and quality is crucial, and I have and will always recommend Applied Ergonomics. Great job.

My physical therapist recommended a really good chair to reduce the lower-back pain I get sitting at my desk. The brand was sold at only one place in the Chicago area — luckily, Applied Ergonomics. Jeff, the owner, was absolutely amazing. Although it’s more lucrative to outfit an entire office than to sell one chair, he made me feel welcome and spent a great deal of time having me try different brands and models to make sure I got something comfortable and supportive. My daughter was so impressed she got fitted too, and bought a stand-up desk. Jeff even found the most cost-effective way to ship her desk and chair to LA on a schedule that worked for her. We were amazed how friendly and accommodating he was, and would highly recommend Applied Ergonomics.
Logo slots are placeholders — drop in each client’s real logo (Switchcraft, Nikola, Armstrong/WAVE, Ziegler, National Optical). MDT Architecture & Batir Architecture logos still needed; individual clients use a monogram instead of a logo.
