Our balanced workhorse — our best-value panel: superior acoustics, beautiful design details, and a deep range of fabrics and finishes.

Description Gallery Finishes Downloads

Overview

Cosmo is the panel we reach for when a project needs quality, acoustics, fast lead time and lasting good looks in balance. It’s a true frame-and-tile system with a practical, durable streak — here’s how it works, and why it’s the sweet spot for so many projects.

Our balanced workhorse

Cosmo is a true frame-and-tile Panel System — the paradigm that still fits the large majority of workstation floors. On a rigid steel frame (3.25" thick), it places privacy, acoustics, power and data exactly where each person needs them, and the whole run stacks to ten feet, reconfigures and re-tiles over time. What sets Cosmo apart is how it installs and lasts: tiles clip on — springs and hooks drop into the frame, so no rails are field-measured and screwed — and its acoustic tiles are built on rigid mineral board over steel, a firm, flat surface that stays sharp and won’t crease. Power sits low in the base frame, off the floor and out of the way.

Why we believe in this

Cosmo sits in the sweet spot for many of our clients — not the lowest-priced panel, but the best value, with great fit and finish. It balances everything a floor actually needs — price, quality, fit and finish, acoustics, lead time, and the ability to swap a damaged tile years later — without asking you to compromise on any one of them. The clip-in tiles keep installs clean, the mineral-board acoustic tiles keep a floor genuinely quiet and keep looking new, and Tayco’s finishes tie the whole space together.

Our take

So here’s when we’d specify Cosmo — and when we’d point you elsewhere.

We believe in it, which is exactly why we’ll be straight about fit. The honest version:

Specify it when

  • You want quality, acoustics, fast install and lasting looks in balance — the sweet spot for most floors.
  • Acoustic performance matters — dense mineral-board tiles over steel absorb sound better than most.
  • You want tiles installed at the factory — Cosmo ships with tiles mounted, so install is quick and clean.
  • You want to swap a damaged tile or reshape the run years later without starting over.
  • You value a manufacturer that shares our standards and backs us up when a project needs it.

Consider something else when

  • Lowest price and fastest ship lead over everything — a quick-ship monolithic panel lands sooner.
  • The plan will reconfigure constantly — an agile beam reconfigures faster.
  • You want maximum open density and daylight — benching opens the plan up.
  • You want a warmer, residential feel — a desking system gets there more easily.
  • You need the broadest architectural range — a flagship panel system goes further.
Where we land: Cosmo is our balanced workhorse — quality, superior acoustics, quick tiles-installed delivery, and finishes that last. It’s the sweet spot for a huge share of floors. When lowest price and fastest ship trump all, or the plan won’t hold still, we’ll steer you to a better-fit paradigm.

Specifications
Configurations & construction
  • Ships with tiles installed — Cosmo arrives with its tiles already mounted on the frames; only one side lifts off to bolt frames together, so a run goes up remarkably fast — no per-tile rails to measure and screw on site.
  • Superior acoustics — dense mineral-board tiles over steel absorb sound better than most, on a rigid face that stays dead flat and crisp.
  • Choice of trim profiles — from rounded to flat, to match the look you’re after.
  • Deep tile menu, segmented or monolithic — acoustic, laminate, glass, whiteboard, perforated metal and more, in the look you choose.
  • Stacks to ten feet, with doors — stack-on frames build height, and stacked segments can carry doors with transoms.
  • Power off the floor, factory-installed — the powerway ships pre-installed and rides low in the base frame, below a sit-stand desk’s travel — no field wiring, quick to energize.
  • Replaceable & reconfigurable — swap a damaged tile or reshape the run years later without starting over.
  • Beautiful detailing, deep finish range — refined design details and a wide choice of fabrics, laminates and paints that coordinate across the whole Tayco floor.
