Industrial work spans two worlds: the administrative side that runs the business, and the production or warehouse floor. On the office side — reception, workstations, in-plant offices, breakrooms — we plan and furnish to first-class standards. On the floor we don’t claim to do everything, but we are a uniquely helpful resource: real ergonomic and safety expertise, plus the seating, workbenches, anti-fatigue matting, and material-handling resources to back it up — specified for the demands of the plant, not office goods pressed into service.

A single line or the whole plant — you’re the right size.

Whether you need anti-fatigue matting for one cell or a full plant- or warehouse-office program plus floor ergonomics, you get the same expertise and the same manufacturer access. No project is too small to do well.

How we help

The office, fully. The floor, where we add real value.

Plant offices & admin

The office portion of the plant — reception, private offices, workstations, conference, and breakrooms, planned and furnished like any first-class office.

In-plant modular offices

Supervisor booths, QC and line offices, and modular in-plant office systems — which can include independent HVAC and connect to the building for power and sprinklers.

Industrial ergonomics

Workbenches, anti-fatigue matting and floor striping, and industrial-rated task seating — including sit/stand/lean stools — chosen with real ergonomic and safety know-how for shift-long use.

Ergonomic material handling

Lift tables, tilters, workpositioners, and ergonomic carts and lift-assists — chosen to cut the lifting, bending, and reaching that wear workers down, so the floor keeps moving and the team stays protected.

Where we help

Office to floor — where we add value.

Plant Offices & Reception

The administrative front of the plant — reception, private offices, workstations and conference, planned and furnished to the same standard as any headquarters.

Supervisor & QC Stations

Pre-engineered booths set right on the floor for supervisors, QC and line leads, with sightlines to the line. Independent HVAC available; power and sprinklers connected to the building.

Workbenches & Assembly Stations

Fixed or height-adjustable industrial workbenches with ESD tops, overhead shelving, lighting and power — configured for the task, the parts and the load.

In-Plant Modular Offices

Single- or two-story modular offices erected inside the plant and relocatable later. Independent HVAC available; power and sprinklers connected to the building.

Industrial Seating

Production chairs and sit/stand stools built for the floor — with ESD, cleanroom and harsh-environment versions, in the right cylinder, base and material.

Control Rooms & 24/7 Seating

Control rooms, dispatch and round-the-clock operations need seating rated for continuous, multi-shift duty. Our 24/7 lines include chairs warranted for three shifts for 12 years, labor included.

Matting & Floor Safety

Anti-fatigue matting and floor striping that cut fatigue and mark the floor for safe, organized flow.

Breakrooms & Staff Areas

Durable, comfortable break and staff spaces for the people who keep the plant running — including break rooms built inside the modular office.

Why AE for industrial

Strong on the office. A real resource on the floor.

01

Plant offices, fully handled

We plan and furnish the administrative side of the plant — reception, offices, workstations, conference, and breakrooms — to the same first-class standard as any office project.

02

Real ergonomics & safety expertise

On the floor we bring genuine ergonomic and safety know-how, plus the resources behind it — industrial-rated seating — including 24/7 control-room and intensive-use chairs — workbenches, anti-fatigue matting and striping, and material handling, where they add value, not a claim to run the whole floor.

03

Any size, same care

One cell or the whole plant — we scale to the project, and the smallest job gets the same expertise and manufacturer access as the largest.

Questions, answered.

About This Page

Is a single line or area too small a project?
No. Whether it’s anti-fatigue matting for one cell or a full plant program, you get the same team, expertise, and manufacturer access. We size our involvement to your project.
How do you work across the office and the plant floor?
We fully plan and furnish the office side — offices, workstations, breakrooms. On the production floor we’re a focused, uniquely helpful resource rather than a turnkey provider: real ergonomic and safety expertise, plus industrial seating, workbenches, matting, and material handling where they add value.
Can you provide in-plant or modular offices?
Yes. We build in-plant and modular offices — supervisor booths, QC and line offices — using established modular in-plant office systems, which can include independent HVAC and connect to the building for power and sprinklers. We furnish them too.
Is your seating and matting actually rated for industrial use?
Yes. We specify purpose-built industrial seating and matting lines, chosen for shift-long use and the conditions of your floor — not office goods pressed into service.

Working with Applied Ergonomics

What types of projects does Applied Ergonomics work on?
We work on projects of all sizes, from single-office setups to multi-floor corporate buildouts. Our services span workspace strategy, interior design, furniture specification, procurement, project management, and installation across healthcare, education, corporate, industrial, and hospitality environments.
How does the consultation process work?
We start with a conversation to understand your goals, challenges, and timeline. From there we develop a tailored approach that may include space planning, product recommendations, and a detailed proposal. There’s no obligation, and we’re happy to answer questions at any stage.
Do you work with architects and interior designers?
Absolutely. We regularly partner with architects and interior designers as a technical and execution resource, translating design intent into specific, high-performing solutions.
What geographic areas do you serve?
We serve clients nationally. While we’re headquartered in the Chicago area, our project management and installation capabilities extend across the United States.
Do you support ongoing facility needs after a project is complete?
Yes. We remain a consistent point of contact beyond project closeout—handling warranty coordination, reconfigurations, internal moves, modular system relocation and reuse, redesigns, and more. Our goal is continuity, not re-procurement.
