Storage

Filing, lockers, shelving, and storage cabinets — keeping people, paper, and supplies organized across the open floor and the private office.

Explore by type

Find your storage.

Storage does quiet, essential work. We specify filing and pedestals, day-use lockers for hybrid teams, open shelving, and storage cabinets — matched to the casegoods and finishes around them so it disappears into the design instead of fighting it.

Questions, answered.

About Storage

Do you offer lockers for hot-desking and hybrid teams?
Yes — day-use and assigned lockers with keyed, combination, keypad, or RFID locks, including charging lockers that power devices while they’re stowed. They give hybrid teams a secure home base on days a dedicated desk isn’t assigned.
Can filing be secured or rated for sensitive records?
Yes — locking lateral and vertical files, and fire-resistant/insulated options where records require added protection. We match the level of security to what the documents actually need.
Can storage match our casegoods and finishes?
We coordinate laminates, veneers, and metal finishes with the desk and casegoods program so files, cabinets, and shelving read as part of the same interior rather than an afterthought.
Can storage flex as the team changes?
Mobile pedestals, reconfigurable units, and storage walls let you add, move, or re-divide storage as headcount and layouts shift — the same plan-for-change approach we bring to workstations.
Do you handle secure and specialized storage — weapon lockers, evidence, or controlled-substance cabinets?
Yes. Through specialized high-security manufacturers we spec weapon and evidence lockers, controlled-substance and narcotics cabinets, and high-security (often fire-rated) files — the kind of controlled-access storage that armories, evidence rooms, pharmacies, and clinical settings require. Tell us the security standard you need to meet and we’ll match it.

Working with Applied Ergonomics

What types of projects does Applied Ergonomics work on?
We work on projects of all sizes, from single-office setups to multi-floor corporate buildouts. Our services span workspace strategy, interior design, furniture specification, procurement, project management, and installation across healthcare, education, corporate, industrial, and hospitality environments.
How does the consultation process work?
We start with a conversation to understand your goals, challenges, and timeline. From there we develop a tailored approach that may include space planning, product recommendations, and a detailed proposal. There’s no obligation, and we’re happy to answer questions at any stage.
Do you work with architects and interior designers?
Absolutely. We regularly partner with architects and interior designers as a technical and execution resource, translating design intent into specific, high-performing solutions.
What geographic areas do you serve?
We serve clients nationally. While we’re headquartered in the Chicago area, our project management and installation capabilities extend across the United States.
Do you support ongoing facility needs after a project is complete?
Yes. We remain a consistent point of contact beyond project closeout—handling warranty coordination, reconfigurations, internal moves, modular system relocation and reuse, redesigns, and more. Our goal is continuity, not re-procurement.
