Monitor arms
Your best resource for monitor arms.
From ready-to-ship to fully modular — the full range, the brands that matter, and the ergonomic know-how to position every screen exactly right.
Not sure which one?
Answer a few questions. Get the right arm.
Mounting is where most setups go wrong — it depends on your desk as much as your monitors. Our guided selector walks the same questions our specialists ask, then points you to the arm that actually fits — and hands you to a person the moment it gets unusual.

The simple answer
Most people start here.
Three Ergo Snob Align arms cover about 95% of setups — ready to ship, easy to mount, three finishes. Pick by how many screens you have, or take the 60-second guide if you want us to be sure. Prefer to compare other brands, mounting, and the finer points? It’s all further down.
Two screens
Align Dual Arm — ships with two sliders so both screens line up an arm’s length away.
One flexible arm
Align crossbar — a single arm that carries two matched monitors (17–27″) on a shared bar, or, with the crossbar left off, a single heavy-duty arm for one larger screen, up to 24 lb at the head.
The best brands the market offers
We carry the best — and pull the standout from each.
This is our edge: we’re not a one-brand shop. We carry the strongest modular arm makers and highlight the best arm from each — so you get the right fit without wading through anyone’s full catalog.
Humanscale
Widely considered the best-built arms made — mechanical-spring counterbalance, scaling cleanly from one screen to complex multi-monitor.
HAT Collective
Refined, designed-in arms with smooth motion and a clean look that disappears into good interiors.
Workrite
Ergonomics-first arms built for all-day adjustability and compliance programs, with integrated power options.
Fellowes
Dependable arms across price points and the most consumer-friendly of the group — single through heavy-duty.
Adapt Global
Patented Hub & Spoke system that field-changes from one screen to many on a single column — tailored multi-screen builds.

How to choose a monitor arm.The buying guide
Six things decide whether an arm holds your screens where you want them — for years. We help you weigh all six.
Monitor size & weight
Match the arm’s weight range and VESA pattern to your displays — heavier and ultrawide screens need more capacity and a stiffer arm.
How many screens
Single, dual, or three-plus — and whether you want them independent or on a shared crossbar for alignment.
How it mounts
Clamp to the desk edge, through a grommet hole, or wall-mount — the right base depends on your desk and whether it moves.
Reach & motion
Depth, height travel, tilt, and portrait rotation — enough range to share, present, and switch posture without fighting the arm.
Preconfigured or modular
Ready-to-ship simplicity (Ergo Snob) or a fully modular system you build to spec (Humanscale and others). Both have their place.
Cable management
Internal channels keep the look clean and let the arm move freely — especially on a sit-stand desk.
Mounting: the part that trips people up.Before you buy
The arm is the easy part — the desk decides what will actually work. Here’s what we check before recommending one.
Clamp (the default)
Fastest install, on a flat edge with a little room behind it. Won’t work on glass, a front lip or apron, or a top that’s too thin or too thick.
Grommet or bolt-through
For glass, thick, or lipped tops — or when a clamp can’t reach. Mounts through an existing hole or one we drill.
Wall or pole
When the desk can’t take an arm — or for three-plus screens, higher mounting, or a screen that faces a customer.
Sit-stand desks
Good news: a height-adjustable desk already leaves the clearance an arm needs to move freely.
Gas spring or mechanical spring?Under the hood
Every good arm “counterbalances” your monitor so it floats and stays where you put it. There are two ways to do that — and the right one depends on your monitors and how long the space has to last. Neither is wrong; here’s the honest difference.
Gas spring
- Silky, quiet motion — nice for frequent repositioning.
- Tuned to a weight band, matched to your monitor’s weight.
- Best when you want the smoothest feel, the monitor weight is known, and value matters.
Mechanical spring
- Re-tensions across a wide weight range — one arm fits many monitors and re-balances when you swap.
- Can be pre-balanced before the monitor goes on — a cleaner install.
- Best when your screens may change and you want one arm to re-balance across them.
Two screens, lined up right.Dual monitors
Getting two monitors to align is where setups go wrong. There are two ways to do it — and which one depends on your screens.
One crossbar
- Both screens ride a single bar — clean, and you can swing them aside together.
- Only if your two monitors are the exact same model — mounting heights differ between models, so mismatched screens won’t line up.
- Ideal for a private office where you face guests across the desk.
Two arms + sliders
- Each screen adjusts on its own — works even with mismatched monitors.
- Sliders nudge the screens together side-to-side, instead of pulling them forward into your face and too close to read.
- Our Align dual ships with two sliders standard.
Sustainability & LEED contributionFor designers & FMs
Specifying for a LEED building? Monitor arms can contribute to several LEED v4 credits — and we keep the documentation ready for your submittal.
- Low-emitting materials (GREENGUARD / GREENGUARD Gold) → Indoor Environmental Quality.
- EPDs & multi-attribute optimization (BIFMA LEVEL®) → Materials & Resources.
- Material transparency (Declare labels, HPDs) → Materials & Resources.
Humanscale is the standout — a genuine sustainability leader (Living Product Challenge, climate-positive lines). We confirm exactly which marks your chosen arm carries and supply the EPD / HPD / warranty documentation for your spec.
WarrantyCompare the terms
Terms differ from line to line — in length, and in what they cover: round-the-clock use, a home office, labour.
- Humanscale runs about 15 years on its current arms.
- Ergo Snob Align carries a 5-year warranty, backed by us directly.
Once the selector has found your arm, it shows each line’s published terms side by side.

Our preconfigured Ergo Snob Align arms come in three configurations — spring-assisted full motion, quick-connect mounting, Silver / White / Black, 5-year warranty. Dimensioned drawings shown; interactive 3D arrives with the STP files.
