- 220 lb capacity, two programmable presets.
- BIFMA-tested, powder-coated steel — built for daily reliability.
Surfaces & finishes
Your desktop, your finish.
Seven laminate finishes, individually boxed and made for us by Kano HVEA: four wood-grain tops with EIR (embossed-in-register) texture you can actually feel, plus white, black, and gray — in the sizes that actually sell.

The details — if you want them.
You’re set with the picks above. Open any topic to understand what separates a desk you’ll keep for years from a wobbly one.
Steady when you stand: columns & stabilityContract vs. residential
The difference you feel is at full standing height. A 3-stage column reaches a wider range and, with a larger leg profile, deflects (wobbles) far less than a thin 2-stage residential base. For a clinical or executive spec, low deflection at full extension under load is the number that matters — more than the headline capacity.
Brushed vs. brushless motionQuieter, longer life
Most desks use brushed motors; the brushes are the main wear point. Brushless motion runs quieter, lasts longer, controls better at low speed, and — importantly for safety — makes anti-collision detection cleaner (no electrical noise from arcing). We can tell you which platform a given desk uses.
Sized to the person: height range & fitTall, short & shared
A desk only helps if it reaches your seated and standing heights. Check the low end for shorter users and the top end for taller ones, and remember the worksurface thickness and a keyboard tray eat into the seated low height. Shared or hot-desks should have memory presets.
Controls & safetyPresets, anti-collision, power
Look for memory presets, anti-collision, and modern power — the best bases bring USB-C Power Delivery right to the surface (see Power & Data). And good controllers tell you in plain language what’s wrong and how to fix it, instead of a cryptic error code.
Active standing vs. anti-fatigue matsKeep moving
We no longer push anti-fatigue mats for general use — they’re hard to move between sitting and standing and get in the way when seated (we keep them for industrial use). Instead we like active-standing boards: the Gymba rocking board and Wurf balance boards keep your legs engaged while you stand.
Sustainability & warrantyFor designers & FMs
Desks can carry ANSI/BIFMA X5.5 system-level certification and low-emitting (GREENGUARD) marks that support LEED submittals; warranty length is the best proxy for durability and lifetime cost. We confirm the exact certifications and warranty term on your chosen desk and supply the documentation. Pricing follows MAP internally, never labeled MAP.
Why we skip desktop convertersAn ergonomics call
A converter sets a riser on top of a desk you already own — but most desks are already too tall for comfortable seated keyboarding, and a converter raises the keyboard another inch or two, making seated work worse, not better. We’d rather put you on a proper height-adjustable desk that drops to your true seated height. The only converters we’d consider are the kind that carry the keyboard and mouse below the desktop, out front, so seated typing stays at the right (lower) height. If that’s genuinely what your space needs, talk to us — otherwise we think a real sit-stand desk is the honest answer.
