Luxury vinyl tile and plank gives a breakroom, a corridor or a reception area the look of wood or stone, with a surface built for the carts, chairs and foot traffic a workplace actually puts on it. Paired with carpet tile it lets a floor change character from one zone to the next. We choose the look with the finishes above it, match the construction to the use, and supply and install it.

How to spec it
What this decision turns on.
How hard the floor is used
Rolling chairs, carts and constant foot traffic call for a heavier wear layer than a quiet office. We specify the wear layer to the traffic.
Wet areas and cleanup
Breakrooms, entries and pantries see spills and frequent cleaning. Resilient flooring handles both well when the product is chosen for it.
Where it meets carpet
Transitions between hard and soft flooring should be planned, level and deliberate — they are where a floor looks finished or not.
The subfloor underneath
What is under the new floor decides how well it performs. Condition and flatness are checked before installation, not discovered during it.
What we carry
The lines we reach for.
Specific styles and colorways are selected against the project. We supply and install what we specify; product images follow once the selection is set.

Choosing a hard floor for a busy space?
Tell us where it goes and how it is used. We will match the look and the construction, then supply and install it.
Commercial-grade LVT holds up to rolling loads and heavy foot traffic, resists moisture, and cleans easily — we spec the wear layer to the traffic.
Can LVT and carpet tile be used on the same floor?
Yes, and it is often the best plan: hard flooring where people walk, gather and spill, carpet where they sit and focus. We plan the transitions so the two meet cleanly.
Do you install it?
Yes. We supply and install the resilient flooring we specify, on the same schedule as the furniture.
Working with Applied Ergonomics
What types of projects does Applied Ergonomics work on?
We work on projects of all sizes, from single-office setups to multi-floor corporate buildouts. Our services span workspace strategy, interior design, furniture specification, procurement, project management, and installation across healthcare, education, corporate, industrial, and hospitality environments.
How does the consultation process work?
We start with a conversation to understand your goals, challenges, and timeline. From there we develop a tailored approach that may include space planning, product recommendations, and a detailed proposal. There’s no obligation, and we’re happy to answer questions at any stage.
Do you work with architects and interior designers?
Absolutely. We regularly partner with architects and interior designers as a technical and execution resource, translating design intent into specific, high-performing solutions.
What geographic areas do you serve?
We serve clients nationally. While we’re headquartered in the Chicago area, our project management and installation capabilities extend across the United States.
Do you support ongoing facility needs after a project is complete?
Yes. We remain a consistent point of contact beyond project closeout—handling warranty coordination, reconfigurations, internal moves, modular system relocation and reuse, redesigns, and more. Our goal is continuity, not re-procurement.
